Wisdom teeth
Wisdom teeth are the last teeth to develop. Also called third molars, they may sometimes erupt partially, or not at all. When this happens, they are said to be partially or fully impacted.
If your jaw cannot accommodate your wisdom teeth without causing other teeth to become misaligned, we will recommend extracting them. We will also recommend this procedure if your wisdom teeth are partially impacted or poorly positioned. Since this area is more difficult to brush and keep clean, it makes you more likely to develop infections, cavities and gum disease.
Dr. Amassian will take the time to examine your mouth and ask you questions in order to give you a precise diagnosis. X-rays may be needed to gain a better understanding of how your teeth are coming in. Based on the recommendations and on your decision, the Passion Sourire team will guide you through each step of the treatment.
